Different families, different priorities
Explore Education Worldviews
Every parent wants the best education for their child. But parents don’t all mean the same thing by “best”.
Who it’s for
Education Worldviews is for leaders of international schools who want clearer evidence for the decisions that shape their school community.
See your families through a new lens: what “best” education looks like for them
Understand the different meanings of “best” education within your school’s parent community.
Assess which expectations the school is meeting, and where tensions or gaps are emerging.
Use evidence to inform recruitment, retention, parent engagement, and future development.
Equip managers, admissions, and marketing teams with language that reflects how different families think and choose.
What it solves
What challenge will Education Worldviews help you solve?
Why does it seem we can never do enough for some parents?
What should we stop saying to parents about the school?
Which strengths can we confidently claim over other schools?
Why do some families stay at our school while others don’t?
What are the parents who never speak up thinking about us?
How can admissions and marketing speak more consistently?

How it works
Education Worldviews conducts in-depth interviews with parents from your school and identifies the different worldviews shaping their expectations.
Your school gets its own map of different parent worldviews, and a practical guide for how to use this knowledge with your teams
The outcome is a shared understanding of parents’ decision logic, and a strong basis for school choices, marketing messaging, and recruitment dialogue.
Parent interviews, carefully facilitated
The school recruits participants using agreed selection criteria.
The interviews also create an opportunity for the school to showcase its willingness to listen to and engage its parent community.

Optional deep dives
The core Education Worldviews module is designed to strengthen the school leadership team’s decision-making. It provides a standalone source of knowledge to share with staff and use in day-to-day operations.
Deep dives can follow for specific initiatives the school decides to focus on
Certain focus areas might arise from the findings, and the school can commission a deep dive once those core findings are available.
An example: for one IB World School’s leaders, the findings from the core module reinforced their decision to expand their offer to secondary school.
The “growth & differentiation deep dive” was designed to work with parents to build the new offer based on a shared vision of the school’s unique proposition.

A Core module + value proposition & messaging deep dive
Use the Education Worldviews findings to make clear choices about who the school is for, what its promise is, what makes that promise credible, and how to develop key messages for different families.

B Core module + growth & differentiation deep dive
Work with the Education Worldviews learnings to identify which strengths matter most to the school’s priority families, which features are true differentiators, and what the school should strengthen next.

C Core module + recruitment & admissions deep dive
Translate the Education Worldviews insights into tools for recruitment and admissions: who to prioritise, what different families need to hear, and how admissions conversations can respond to their expectations.
Who school leaders will work with
Tina Walendy is the adviser and facilitator who will work with the school leader or leadership team throughout the Education Worldviews study.
Tina has over two decades of experience in strategy, marketing and communications advisory. When working with international schools in multiple geographies, over time she found that challenges these school leaders face have origin in the same problem: the voice of the community a school serves is fragmented, some members are heard more than others, and it seems impossible to satisfy everyone’s expectations.
Education Worldviews was built to bring clarity to school leaders about how their different families see, evaluate and make decisions about their children’s education. Developed when working with a school that disrupted its market as a challenger to established private schools, the programme is now available to international school leaders worldwide.

How long it takes
Allocate 4 to 6 weeks from the leadership objectives workshop to the final handover session. School leaders are actively involved in pre-scheduled dedicated work sessions*. For the remaining time, Education Worldviews findings and tools take shape while they can focus on their day-to-day priorities.
